Amended Allocations and Development Management DPD

Representation Period

Monday 25th September 2023 until 5pm on Monday 6th November 2023

We are now seeking representations on the Second Publication Amended Allocations & Development Management DPD. Following the close of the previous representation period it was decided that a Second Regulation 19 Consultation would be required due to a representation received from the Environment Agency and a change in situation regarding the Gypsy & Traveller Pitch Delivery Strategy.

Prior to submitting the document to the Secretary of State, the District Council has a statutory requirement to provide a six-week consultation period to enable the submission of a Statement of Representations. This period will commence from Monday 25th September until 5pm on Monday 6th November 2023.

The following documents will be made available by us for inspection:

Second Publication Allocations & Development Management DPD (PDF File, 20,130kb) which sets out:

  • allocations of land for new housing, employment and other development for the district up to 2033
  • housing policies, including affordable housing targets and Gypsy, Roma, Traveller policy and allocations; and
  • development management policies.

Policies Map Amendments (PDF File, 17,452kb) sets out the areas where amendments to the DPD have required amendments to the Policies Map. The Policies Map sets out were the specific Development Plan Policies and land designations apply from the Development Plan. Please note this document only contains the amendments made since the last round of consultation. Changes proposed in the previous Regulation 19 consultation are contained at Appendix 2. 

The Proposed Amendments to the Second Publication DPD (PDF File, 266kb) provides a summary of those amendments which have occurred since the last consultation in 2022. 

The Consultation Statement (2023) (PDF File, 1,136kb) sets out a summary of comments received at previous consultations and how these have been taken into account during preparation of the DPD. Previous Consultation Statement's can be viewed in the Supporting Evidence Base Documents

Integrated Impact Assessment (2023) (PDF File, 3,182kb) weighs up the social, environmental, health and economic effects of the DPD as well as considering equality issues.

Habitat Regulations Assessment (2023) (PDF File, 6,923kb) assesses the impact of the plan proposals on the most valuable protected habitats in and around the District.

A broad range of Supporting Evidence Base Documents have been produced which has informed the Second Publication Amended Allocations and Development Management DPD. 

Making a Representation

This is a formal representation stage and those responding must set out if they support or object to the contents of the Second Publication Amended Allocations & Development Management Development Plan Document.

Submitting a Representation

The Representation Form may be submitted to us in writing or by way of electronic communication. The form can be downloaded from the website for submission by email or post. Paper copies of the form will be placed with the DPD Documents at the locations set out in the Statement of Fact Notice [41kb]. If you previously made a representation to the First Publication Allocations & Development Management DPD (November 2022) Regulation 19 stage, we would like to know how you want this to be treated. All representations made at that stage will be forwarded on to the Inspector unless you wish to supersede it with a new representation to this Second Publication Allocations & Development Management. Please make this clear at the beginning of your Representation. If your previous representation is no longer required because of the proposed changes made to this Second Publication AADMDPD, please let us know that you are happy for your previous representation to be withdrawn.
